Porcelain and Composite Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are similar to a crown where the tooth is prepared (or shaved down) and a cap is placed over the face of the tooth. Composite Veneers can be done without having to reduce the original tooth but just adding material to it. Patients who have “smaller teeth” would be more attracted to this option.

Botox
Botox is used to decrease wrinkling of the skin by lowering the force of underlying muscle contraction, thereby causing the patient to have smoother, toner looking skin. The most common places where Botox is administered is the Frontal region (forehead), the Glabellar region (brow), lateral orbit region (crows feet), and the obicularis oris (smoker lines) although it is not limited to these regions.

Botox is also used to treat migraine headaches and those who clench their jaws frequently.Once Botox is given it takes 2-10 days to take effect.

Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers are used in those areas where deep wrinkles and folds are present. These are caused by a loss of collagen over the years. Dermal filler is also used to enhance the lips. Dermal Fillers will show immediate results and last 3-12 months.

What to expect:

Dr. Ross Wagstaff has been certified in both Botox and Dermal Fillers by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. First Dr. Ross will discuss areas of concern with the patient, then complete a full evaluation and develop a treatment plan with the amount of units needed per site. Finally the Botox will be administered to the desired areas. Expect to be given at least 15-20 units of Botox at this appointment. The Botox will take about 2 weeks for its full effect and will last from 3-6 months.
